A sad day is upon us.

On May 25th 2008 a little after midnight our beloved Sojourner passed away. There are no words to describe what a terrible loss this is for her family, friends and the communities she helped to build and contributed towards. Our hearts go out to her husband Don and her son, we cannot begin to imagine the pain you are going through, but our thoughts and prayers are with you.

Soj touched the hearts of many people, she was a mentor, a friend, a role model and our protector. If we were hurt she picked us up, dusted us down and wiped away the tears. She was always ready with a shoulder to cry on, to be our rock, to hold us all together. We will miss you so much, you brightened our lives with your presence and i know you'll be watching over us all.

Their Journey's Just Begun

Don't think of them as gone away,
their journey has just begun.
Life holds so many facets,
this earth is only one.

Just think of them as resting
from the sorrows and the tears,
in a place of warmth and comfort,
where there are no days and years.

Think of how they must be wishing
that we could know, today,
how nothing but our sadness
can really pass away.

And think of them as living
in the hearts of those they touched
for nothing loved is ever lost
and they were loved so much.

Anonymous

On February 27, 2008, the Dream Travelers met to discuss the results of a poll taken earlier in the week on whether or not to keep the sandbox open as a public sandbox. The feedback was to keep it open and public.

We also discussed the mechanics of monitoring the sandbox including who was to provide warnings in cases of rule-infringement, how that was to be done, and suggestions regarding how the sandbox could be maintained in a more efficient, less stressful manner.

Please see the meeting summary below for more information. Also, check the FAQ section for more information on group roles and the sandbox rules.
